Lawsuit for racist statements

Home » news item » Lawsuit for racist statements

The Tebeka Association filed a defamation lawsuit in court for racist, serious, and humiliating statements made in public against C, who at the time worked as a border control officer at Terminal 3 in Israel and by virtue of her position provided a service to the general public.

One day, while she was working, C arrived and tried to bypass an elderly woman (H) in line and she turned to C and H said “Black Y”, “Negro”, “Your parents are monkeys”, “Your father is a monkey” and said this in front of everyone present at her workplace.

C, who lost her father at the age of 8, burst into tears and was overcome with grief. C filed a complaint with the police, and an indictment was filed against H for insulting a public servant, which ended in minor and minimal compensation in relation to the humiliation she suffered.

C turned to the Tebeka Association, which views the incident very seriously and will use all legal tools to bring justice to such dark and prejudiced people, for the sake of a reformed, more egalitarian and healthier society.
