A long-time employee at a major retail chain was offended to learn that she was referred to as a “dark-skinned worker” in a survey carried out by a firm hired by the retail chain.
Tebeka represented her in making a legal claim against the use of discriminatory language and the firm apologized.
Tebeka’s claim convinced the court to grant her compensation of NIS 7,000 for slander.
The case made an important statement against discrimination that will reinforce civility in Israeli society for all citizens.
